While there are many uses for Geothermal energy we will discuss how Versa is applied in Geothermal power plants. The process consists of drilling wells deep into the earth, as much as 2 miles deep to capture high temperature (300F to 700F) from either dry steam (thermal) or hot water (hydro) wells. The hot water or steam is used to power turbines that generate electricity. It seems like an innovative new “green” initiative but in fact the first geothermal power plant was built in Tuscany Italy in 1904.
